The University of Texas at Austin Social Work Council attempts to further the education of social work students by providing a forum for communication with faculty and staff to improve the School of Social Work. The council also provides educational, service and social action activities to enhance student involvement and cohesion.
Social Work Council also provides social work students with a voice in the campus-wide Senate of College Councils. We keep students up-to-date on current social work issues, with an emphasis on those concerning UT and Austin, while bringing students together through school and campus events, socials, volunteering, and activist opportunities.
Social Work Council meets every other week, Monday at 6:00pm in the SSW Student Lounge, Room 1.204A.
